-- -- -- It's the same ol', same ol' situation...in the immortal words of Motley Crue, show 99 of the SJHRS was a mixed bag o' hair metal. Damn Yankees took us to 'Rock City', David Lee Roth and company expressed their love for 'California Girls', and Poison introduced a new dance called the 'Unskinny Bop.' Shock through in a couple of cover songs for good measure. You can learn a lot from this show. The next 2 Upcoming shows will be pre-recorded. Next week is 'A Hair Metal Tribute to KISS' and in 2 weeks, it's 'A Hair Metal Tribute to Alice Cooper.' Shock will be back in the studio live for the SJHRS 2nd Anniversary show on July 9. Playlist:

-- -- -- Back by popular demand, Scotty the Cock was guest co-host of the SJHRS, making his second visit to the show. He's not a cock in the cutdown sense, he's an alumni of the University of South Carolina, the Gamecocks. Scotty played music director, choosing the music played on the show. Playlist:

-- -- -- Shock played a double shot of Twisted Sister, or was it Bent Brother? They sound exactly the same. The only difference is Twisted wears all the makeup. Bent is a TS tribute band - ha ha! Shock's been ripping on the band Europe and their song Final Countdown because of how lame it is. It made VH1's 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs show. Shock figured he'd play the band's other hit song, the power ballad Carrie. Speaking of awesomely bad songs, Styper's song Honestly managed to make it onto VH1's Awesomely Bad Songs show twice - once for awesomely bad power ballad and once for awesomely bad hair metal song. The other two awesomely bad power ballads were Motley Crue's Home Sweet Home and Poison's Every Rose Has It's Thorn. Shock Jock Hair Rock Show's 2nd Anniversary show is July 9. Don't miss it!
