5.28.2004 - Awesomely Bad Hair Metal Songs - Show 96

Shock played a couple hair metal songs that were featured on VH1's 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs Ever. The "awesomely bad" songs are marked with an asterisk (*) in the playlist. Shock also resurrected an old SJHRS segment - Vanity Plates of the Week - because he found a very appropriate plate for the fans of Enuff Z'Nuff - ZNUFFAN. He could believe it when he saw it. I wonder if Chip Z'Nuff was driving the car? Don't worry, the Vanity Plates of the Week segment was put to rest again immediately after the show.

Playlist:
  1. Black 'N Blue - Hold Onto 18
  2. Kik Tracee - Tangerine Man
  3. RATT - Body Talk
  4. Tuff - American Hair Band
  5. Stryper - Honestly*
  6. Europe - Final Countdown*
  7. Dokken - Dream Warriors
  8. Def Leppard - You Got Me Runnin'
  9. Scorpions - Wind of Change

Copies of the interview are available on CD, just send us an email request. The playlist consisted of songs exclusively from the new album. For more information on the band and the new album, visit www.stryper.com. The Yellow and Black Attack is back!

5.14.2004 - Another Show In the Can - Show 94

It was a hot, steamy Friday night. All you needed to cool you down was an ice cold bottle of beer and some hair metal. Since last week's show was the hair metal tribute to KISS, I found another hair metal band that covered a KISS song. Had a caller make a request for Bon Jovi last week that I never got around to playing, and she called this week to make sure I was going to play it. I like persistence.

Playlist:
  1. Babylon AD - Bang Go The Bells
  2. Razamanaz - King of the Night Time World
  3. David Lee Roth - Just Like Paradise
  4. Extreme - Kid Ego
  5. Bon Jovi - Livin' On A Prayer
  6. Ugly Kid Joe - God
  7. Cinderella - Nobody's Fool
  8. Slaughter - Up All Night
  9. Stryper - Sing Along Song
  10. Britny Fox - Girlschool

Shock featured songs from the new KISS tribute album. The album has appearances by members of Dokken, Whitesnake, Twisted Sister, Poison, Winger and many more. All killer, no filler. The album cover has one of the hottest women ever seen on an album cover. I'd play spin the bottle with her any day. For complete details on the album 'Spin the Bottle', click here.
