NEWS11.29.2002 - Thanksgiving WeekendThe Shock Jock Hair Rock Show was not aired last week, Nov. 29th. Festive holiday music was played instead. We will be back next week, Dec. 6th with an all new show. Don't miss these great upcoming shows: To celebrate Friday the 13th, it's our Hair Metal Tribute to Alice Cooper. The best hair metal bands playing Alice Cooper's greatest hits. The playlist will be "shocking." Our Christmas show, on Friday, Dec. 27th, will be the Jack Russell special. Jack Russell, the voice of Great White, spoke with Shock in an exclusive interview. We will also be playing music from his new solo record, For You, and from his 20+ year career in Great White. # posted by groovesocket @ 11:37 AM
-- -- -- Since Guns N Roses, Bon Jovi and Def Leppard are all on tour supporting new albums, we thought we'd play rock blocks from each band. What a novel idea. Playlist:

-- -- -- Show 20 was another Hair Metal Cover Songs show. This was the second time we have done a covers show. It's fun to hear hair metal bands trying to cover their "influences." Yea right. Playlist:

-- -- -- Tom Gavin called again. He's got to stop calling during the show. Maybe we should stop picking up the phone. Playlist:

-- -- -- I wanted to go with a hair metal/food theme, but I only could find 2 songs pertaining to food - David Lee Roth's "Hot Dog and A Shake" and Saigon Kick's "Water" - so I played them. Neither are really about food, but what the hell. I also reported some very disturbing news - Mariah Carey will be doing a cover of Def Leppard's "Bringin On the Heartache" on her next album. To spite her, I played the DL version. Playlist:
