8.23.2002 - Rock Fest Show - Show 8
Since the Rock Fest concert came to town the night before the show, #8 featured the artists on the Rock Fest tour - L.A. Guns, Firehouse, Warrant, RATT and Dokken. The show was dedicated to mister fit & trim himself - Jani "Mohawk" Lane.*
Fellow WEBR DJs Paul Porzio and Tom Gavine stopped by the show to chat with Chesty and me. Chaotic, but fun.
PLAYLIST - Played a mini set from each Rock Fest band:
- Dokken - In My Dreams
- Dokken - Sunless Days
- RATT - Round & Round
- RATT - Shame, Shame, Shame
- Warrant - Heaven
- Warrant - Cherry Pie
- LA Guns - Ballad of Jayne
- LA Guns - Killing Machine
- Firehouse - Don't Treat Me Bad
There were no Vanity Plates of the Week because we ran out of time.
* Jane Lane has put on some weight over the past 2 1/2 years. He was sporting a spikey blond mohawk to boot. Now he is just a fat sweaty bastard.
Dokken were great. They played all their classics and some new songs off the new record, Long Way Home. I got to the concert late and missed L.A. Guns. Firehouse sounded awesome. All original members. RATT put on a great show with new front man Jizzy Pearl, formerly of Love/Hate.

Show 7 Vanity Plates of the Week:
- Chesty: IM 4 FUN - Chesty's yoga teacher's plate. I think she is giving off the wrong message accidently.
